In a battle of religio-political bloviation, Jesse Jackson (megalomaniacal media-whore) has now engaged Pat Robertson's recent foolishness -- in which Robertson (megalomaniacal media-whore) called for the assassination of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez (megalomaniacal leader of an otherwise obscure oil-and-drug-producing country). Jackson traveled to Venezuela to lend his support to what he describes as a more reasoned and rational rapprochement between the U.S. and Venezuela. "Mr Jackson's visit is a propaganda coup for the Venezuelan president, says the BBC's Justin Webb in Caracas." I disagree. Rev. Jackson's visit is instead a propaganda coup for Rev. Robertson and his supporters, neutralizing Robertson's bizarre statements with an equally unnecessary and irrelevant statement from the left. This was a move that Rev. Jackson's advisors should have been wise enough to prevent.
